| Descripción : | Infrastructure works are key elements for evaluating the characteristics of the Inca domination in any territory of the state. New documentary investigations in the lowlands of north-central Mendoza (Central West Argentina) offer relevant information related to the identification and location of Inca constructions and ditches. This article presents the results of these studies and examines the implications for understanding the political-administrative and economic organization of the Guentata, Uco, and Jaurúa valleys and surrounding areas, on the southeastern border of Tawantinsuyu. Las obras de infraestructura son elementos clave para evaluar las características de la dominación incaica en cada sector del estado. Nuevas investigaciones documentales en la zona baja del centro-norte de Mendoza (Centro Oeste Argentino) ofrecen información significativa vinculada con la identificación y ubicación de construcciones y acequias incaicas. En este artículo se presentan los resultados de estos estudios y se analizan sus implicaciones para el conocimiento de la organización político-administrativa y económica de los valles de Guentata, Uco y Jaurúa y zonas aledañas, en la frontera sudoriental del Tawantinsuyu. |
