dc.description¿Qué es un documento argumentativo breve (DAB)? Es un texto académico que busca convencer al lector sobre la validez o falsedad de una tesis frente a un tema determinado, mediante la exposición coherente de argumentos de diversos tipos. En el DAB no se exige la "fineza" de escritura literaria, la libertad de estructura y la profundidad de los argumentos propias del ensayo en español (Vásquez, 2009), pues adopta el esquema lineal y la practicidad que son características del Academic Short Essay (Abraham, 1998). En este género discursivo, se destaca la capacidad del autor para sustentar la tesis que plantea con argumentos de autoridad, hechos, datos, analogías y ejemplos (Weston, 2006).-
dc.descriptionWhat is a brief argumentative document (DAB)? It is an academic text that seeks to convince the reader about the validity or falsity of a thesis against a certain topic, through the coherent exposition of arguments of various kinds. The DAB does not require the "fineness" of literary writing, the freedom of structure and the depth of the arguments typical of the essay in Spanish (Vásquez, 2009), as it adopts the linear scheme and the practicality that are characteristics of the Academic Short Essay (Abraham, 1998). In this discursive genre, the author's ability to support the thesis that he raises with arguments of authority, facts, data, analogies and examples stands out (Weston, 2006).-
