Descripción :	A presente pesquisa foi desenvolvida com mulheres indígenas que habitam a cidade do Recife e/ou regiões metropolitanas, identificando o perfil das mulheres que deixam as suas respectivas aldeias, assim como estudar a redes de sociabilidade indígena das quais fazem parte no novo contexto citadino. Os dados empregados foram colhidos através da observação e entrevistas realizadas durante o período de janeiro de 2014 a maio 2015. O expressivo número de “migração” de índios - e índias – para as cidades, o pouco conhecimento acerca desses indivíduos e a sub-representação nos censos nacionais faz com que seja importante indagar sobre este recente fenômeno. O trabalho não tem como foco apenas mulheres que estejam ligadas a associações ou grupo específicos, pretendem-se pensar as dinâmicas sociais que essas índias estabelecem no contexto urbano, e questionar as dicotomias “rurais – urbanas”, “aldeias – cidades”, utilizadas para retratar os lugares onde essas índias estão localizadas. Apesar das hierarquizações que pode existir entre quem vive nesses distintos lugares, no mundo globalizado não podemos analisar como comunidades separadas os índios de uma determinada etnia que está na cidade do índio da mesma etnia que está na sua aldeia, pois fazem parte de um mesmo povo e mantém relações com o seu grupo de origem, participando de rituais e momentos decisivos nas aldeias, bem como utilizando de mecanismos tecnológicos como aplicativos de celulares e redes sociais – WhatsApp, Facebook, E-mails, Orkut e etc. Por conseguinte acredita-se na existência de uma identidade indígena afirmada por essas mulheres, mesmo vivendo em contextos urbanos, dado que, ao mesmo tempo em que as redes de relacionamentos influenciam no fortalecimento da identidade étnica, a identidade étnica é reiterada através das suas redes estabelecidas na cidade e fora dela. CAPES The present research was conducted with indigenous women who are living in the city of Recife and/or metropolitan areas, identifying the characteristics of women who leave their villages, as well as studying the indigenous social networks to which they belong in the new city context. The information used here has been collected through observation and interviews conducted during the period from January 2014 to May 2015. The expressive number of indigenous "migration" (men and women) to the cities, the lack of knowledge about these individuals and the non-accurate representation in national census makes it important to consider this recent phenomenon. This research doesn’t have as it focus only women who are linked to associations or specific groups, but it is intended to think about the social dynamics that these indigenous women set in the urban context and question the dichotomies "rural - urban," "villages - cities" used to show the places where they are located. Despite the hierarchies that can exist between those who live in these distinct places, in the globalized world we can’t analyze as separate communities the Indians of a certain ethnic group that are living in the city of the same identity who are in their native village, as they are part of the same people and keep relationships with their group of origin, participating in rituals and decisive moments in the villages and using technological devices such as mobile applications and social networks - WhatsApp, Facebook, E-mail, Orkut, etc. Furthermore, there is a belief in the existence of an indigenous identity asserted by these women, even living in urban settings, as at the same time that social networks influence the strengthening of an ethnic identity, which is repeated through its established networks in the city and out of it.
