| Descripción : | Between 1967 and 1982, homosexual liberation movements emerged in Latin America that sought to unify strategies of social and sexual revolution. This article proposes a comparative study to rethink the periodization of the distinct selection of cases and analyze the similarities and differences between them. For this, the cases of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico are discussed. The purpose of this paper is to find a different explanation for these movements that avoids viewing them as just a projection of the Stonewall uprising (1969), thereby bringing forward an explanatory variable from within Latin America. In turn, the respective relationships of these movements with the local radical Left and the State are also considered. Entre 1967 y 1982 se extendieron en América Latina movimientos denominados de ‘liberación homosexual’ que buscaron unificar las estrategias hacia la revolución social y sexual. Este trabajo propone un estudio comparado de los movimientos de Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia y México, que permite repensar las periodizaciones, similitudes y diferencias de los distintos casos considerados. Esta lectura reubica el impacto de la revuelta de Stonewall en una narrativa más compleja que ilumina la relación de estos movimientos con la izquierda radical local y su respectivo Estado. |
