Descripción :	This work aims to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between oral tradition and territoriality processes in the La Balsa district (Municipality of Buenos Aires, Cauca). To achieve this goal, it is proposed to analyze La Salve, a life-and-death chant of the Afro-Colombian oral tradition, understood as part of a nostalgic infrastructure carried out by the Negrasa communities through which, beyond the mere folklore, yearnings are expressed, the feelings and the intellectual and political proposals of this population. It was found that the notion of La Salve as a song, must be extended or enriched to a notion that transcends space-time; giving rise, to the political and the intellectual that, in general, is not related to the Afro or the black, at the same time that the mystical and the preternatural are not recognized as knowledge that flows from sources of reality for the community. So what is La Salve here? La Salve is not proposed here as a song, but as a moment, the moment of La Salve. Este trabajo pretende aportar a la comprensión de la relación entre la tradición oral y los procesos de territorialidad en el corregimiento La Balsa (Municipio Buenos Aires, Cauca). Para alcanzar dicho fin, se propone analizar La Salve, un canto de vida o muerte de la tradición oral afrocolombiana, entendida como parte de una infraestructura nostálgica que llevan a cabo las comunidades negrasa través de la que, más allá del solo folclore, se expresan los anhelos, los sentires y las propuestas intelectuales y políticas de esta población. Se encontró que la noción de La Salve como canto, debe ser ampliada o enriquecida a una noción que trascienda el espacio-tiempo; dando lugar, a lo político y lo intelectual que, por lo general no se le relaciona con lo afro o lo negro, al tiempo que lo místico y lo preternatural no es reconocido como un conocimiento que mana de fuentes de realidad para la comunidad. En consecuencia ¿qué es La Salve aquí? La Salve no se propone aquí no solo como un canto, sino como un momento, el momento de La Salve.
