O MST e as reformas agrárias do Brasil

Abstract

Resumen: O trabalho estuda a evolução do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) e da reforma agrária no Brasil. Argumenta também que o governo não quer uma reforma agrária que limite o agronegócio e por isso privilegia a legalização da colonização de terras na Amazónia. Expõe finalmente que o agronegócio e as ocupações camponesas avançam simultâneamente nessa região o que isso deixa prever uma dura disputa territorial no momento em que a fronteira agricola chegue ao seu limite Abstract: This work studies the evolution of the Movement of Rural Workers without Land (MST) and the agrarian reform in Brazil. In addition, it sustains that the government does not want an agrarian reform which affects the agribusiness and therefore it privileges the legalizing of the occupation of Amazon lands. Finally it shows that agribusiness and rural community occupations advance simultaneously in the region, which, it sustains, makes it possible to forecast a strong territorial dispute as the expansion of agricultural frontier begins to reach its limit
