Descripción :	The present article is the result of a research whose objective is to identify the logics of cooperation in military security directed from Colombia towards the region of the Great Caribbean in the period (2002-2014), analyzing the representative cases of Mexico, Dominican Republic and Honduras. The above allows to affirm that, from the sale of security services, Colombia has emerged as an average power in the military scenario, influenced and driven in turn by the previous relationship with the United States in the fight against drug trafficking and terrorism. While this relationship has facilitated a triangle of cooperation in this area with the countries of the Great Caribbean, it raises questions about the interests and orientation of Colombian foreign policy towards the region. El presente artículo es resultado de una investigación cuyo objetivo es identificar las lógicas de cooperación en seguridad militar dirigidas desde Colombia hacia la región del Gran Caribe en el periodo (2002-2014), a través del análisis de los casos representativos de Mé- xico, República Dominicana y Honduras. Lo anterior permite afirmar que, a partir de la venta de servicios de seguridad, Colombia se ha perfilado como potencia media en el escenario militar, influenciada e impulsada a su vez por la relación previa con Estados Unidos en la lucha contra el narcotráfico y el terrorismo. Si bien esta relación ha facilitado un triángulo de cooperación en este ámbito con los países del Gran Caribe, plantea interrogantes sobre los intereses y la orientación de la política exterior colombiana hacia la región.
