dc.descriptionThis article is the result of a research about the historical background and current status of the raizal ethnic populations related to ethnic and heritage rights and sociocultural identities. In order to achieve a better understanding of socio-cultural identities of raizals (native islanders), key points connected to the historiography of the islands are highlighted and analyzed with regards to the different dynamics associated with the occupation of the territory, population groups inhabiting the islands, socio-cultural and economic activities, among others.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente artículo, es resultado del proceso de investigación adelantado en el marco del proyecto “Concert´s”, iniciativa liderada por la Asociación temporal “Living Educ. Art” en convenio con la Gobernación Departamental y el Ministerio de Cultura. La investigación se concentró en el análisis de los antecedentes históricos y la situación actual de la población étnica raizal en materia de derechos patrimoniales y culturales. La investigación se llevó a cabo a partir de la revisión bibliográfica, la realización de entrevistas y recopilación de material audiovisual a partir de los concert´s realizados en ocho sectores de asentamiento raizal en San Andrés Islas.es-ES
