dc.descriptionEste texto explora conexiones entre los movimientos anti-apartheid y los movimientos de gays y lesbianas en Suráfrica. Se argumenta que los usos políticos de las violencias contra ellas varían de acuerdo con los intereses de los actores involucrados y las formas  como los conflictos y sus transformaciones son sexualizadas y generizadas. En este caso el tema racial determina cómo se dan tales procesos. Luego de  una contextualización del apartheid en términos de sexualidad, se describe cómo gays y lesbianas participaron en las luchas antiapartheid. Posteriormente se ejemplifican usos de la homosexualidad por diversos actores en conflicto, para ubicar el debate en las geopolíticas de la identidad en transiciones políticas. Al final, se sugiere la importancia de esta historia para el actual contexto colombiano. es-ES
