dc.description | Currently, tourist destinations seek different strategies to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive global market, in which the image is a decisive factor for tourists to make the purchase decision. Nowadays it is understood that a positive image of an emotional destiny influences the tourist. Therefore, it is important to identify strategies that attract tourists for the first time and, in turn, generated recommendations and repurchases to other potential tourists. The image of tourist destinations has been widely studied from different disciplines, such as marketing, strategy, networks and sociology. However, the idea of a tourist destination understood as a network of actors interconnected between them and with other destinations, is still a broad topic to explore, both from the theoretical and from the empirical. This, It’s a descriptive article that seeks to approach the topic of tourism from the conception of the concept of tourist destination, the image of the destination and the positioning of the destination in highly competitive markets. | en-US |
dc.description | En la actualidad, los destinos turísticos buscan diferentes estrategias para diferenciarse en un mercado mundial y altamente competitivo, en el que la imagen es un factor decisivo para que el turista tome la decisión de compra. Hoy en día se entiende que una imagen positiva de un destino influencia emocionalmente al turista. Así las cosas, es preponderante identificar estrategias que atraigan por primera vez al turista, pero que a su vez generen recompra y recomendación a otros turistas potenciales. La imagen de los destinos turísticos ha sido ampliamente estudiada desde diferentes disciplinas, tales como el mercadeo, la estrategia, las redes y la sociología; sin embargo, la idea de un destino turístico entendido como una red de actores interconectados entre ellos y con otros destinos, es aún un tema amplio para explorar, tanto desde lo teórico como desde lo empírico. Este es un artículo descriptivo que busca acercarse al tema del turismo desde la concepción del concepto de destino turístico, la imagen del destino y el posicionamiento del destino en los mercados altamente competitivos. | es-ES |
